can a farmall h be set up with a remote set up on the hydraulics? and i need to know how the kill switch works on one with a mag i just got this one in today thanks in advance

This will help on the hydro. just wire back the control rod to keep it on. Not a problem (the pump is on all the time the clutch is out any way)
The stock kill switch is a single terminal push pull switch that grounds the mag to stop it. The switch body is the ground. If any single pole single throw switch is used, it needs to have one of the two terminals grounded with a short wire. Never put power to a mag, they make their own. Jim

Switches for a magneto just open and close a ground.
The switches are set up oppostie of a regular switch.
The magneto switch will be closed when in {Off} and open when out {Run}.
Connect a ground to one terminal on the switch.
On the other switch terminal run a wire from there to the ground post on the magneto.

The blue return line(shown)can go as shown if you put a seal on the cap. If you would rather, it can go in the bottom of the reservoir drain on the bottom with a "T" to keep the drain operational. Jim

I don't know if you have a stock type single terminal or 2 terminal switch. Either will work fine.

You didn't indicate what year your H is.

Early mags have a spring loaded pull switch on the mag body. A lawnmower type throttle cable pulls the switch to kill engine.

Later mags have a terminal on the mag body that needs to be grounded via an electrical switch.

You need the single pole sw for the mag and make sure the sw has a good ground so when the sw is pushed in it will kill the nag. The oroginal sw will say out-run in-stop on the top

it is a 52 farmall h my uncle got it i havent tried to start it some one didnt wire it at all but is very straight tin wize and looks pretty clean i may try to do a little on it today.thanks for all the help so far
jerry

It will run with nothing attached to the mag but the plug wires. To stop it just use a screw driver to short the terminal on the mag to the mag body. Jim
