WD9 3 point hitch

Has anyone mounted an aftermarket 3 point(saginaw, worksaver, cross) on a 9 series tractor? would love to see some pictures of the mounts and how they were done.
Say Wagner, how about some pics of that 650 fast hitch?
thanks

There is not alot to bolt to on a 9 series but I think an after market IH row crop 3ph could be made to fit somehow.

The picture of the 650 fast hitch probably won't help because you can't even see the main attaching plates. There are 9 individual pieces plus the 706 and 560 parts. There are also two con-rod bearing caps that secure the rockshaft. I chose to go with two lift cylinders.

This is the template for the side plates. It is made out of 3/4" plate. It attaches to the 1" holes at the top of the axle housing and two 3/4" bolts where the axle housing bolts to the transmission housing.

You should think about U-bolts around the axle housing that will hold a pair of heavy plate adaptors. Bolt the Worksaver to them. Run torque arms to the 1" holes. I have an extra Worksaver. Are you near eastern MA?

Thanks Wardner. that fast hitch is awesome. you probably could market that in limited quantities. i see what you mean by using some heavy u-bolts around the axle. would the worksaver fit in between the fenders or do you think i'd have to narrow it? I have the tin all off a 9 right now getting ready to paint so i can see where it would have to go. which holes would the torque arms go to? the drawbar support holes?
i'm in southern Manitoba right on the North Dakota border.

These would be the U-bolts. They are available at an industrial plumbing supply or fire sprinkler supply jobber.

But after looking at an I-9 frame that I have, I don't think that you need them. There are enough holes on the axle housing where heavy (6" x 6" x 1/2" or better) angle iron clips would work. Or you could cut some T-sections out of a heavy H-Beam. The floor board will have to go. The fenders will probably be OK if you retain the sway limiters.

You need to start by obtaining the hitch (or looking at the Worksaver site). Place the hitch where it fits best and start making the attaching brackets. This procedure would be similar to mounting a loader to any tractor. Looks like an easy job. Good luck.
