Hooked up the IH 9 foot 1100 to the SH and did the grass around the place and two rounds getting the outside edge of the alfalfa.
Then went modern and knocked the alfalfa down with the Gehl MoCo and the new Farmall 95. Old iron is fun but you just can't beat cab, A/C J Cash on the CD, and an air adjustable cushion seat.
 
I know what you mean. My brother couldn't believe my fascination with old tractors and equipment since I hated farming at home. These old tractors are a lot of fun when you aren't depending on them to work for a living.
 
I know exactly how you feel. I love old tractors and farm equipment in general but NO WAY would I go back into farming. O.K. I used to love most aspects of the life itself, but now ( in Europe at least ) agriculture is just a bureaucratic muddle. When you find that you are spending as much time filling forms in as farming and having Ministry inspectors knocking on your door every few months (Even though you were doing everything "right" )then you know it is time to get out.
Although every cloud has a silver lining, all that paperwork did introduce me to the world of computers and later the internet.....
