Farmall 400 axel bracket for draw bar

While moving big round bales yesterday, I heard a "loud pop" and noticed the bolt that goes under the axel housing broke off. I don't know what this bracket is called, or what the part # is, but I figured someone here might know.

I need the rear part of the axel housing bracket, plus the two 7/8" X 8" bolts that go over and under the axel housing.
If anyone here on this forum has these parts for sale, please give me a shout.

Here are a couple of pictures of the bracket that fits between the axel housing and the Saginaw 3 pt..

Looking down at the bracket.

Looking at the bracket from the front. (front part is OK, I just need the rear part))

Should be easy to find in salvage yard. My early 30 year old Saginaw has 2 brackets on each side and has carried some heavy loads (like 4 row planter) and is still in good condition.

I have an old Saginaw 3 pt. on my M, and it has 2 bolts through the bottom (I'll bet your's does to), but this new Saginaw (I just bought it 3 days ago) and the Farmall 400 brackets, only have 1 bolt through the bottom.

If anyone has the square tube that fits the rear of the axle housing, complete with two 7/8" X 8" bolts, for sale,... please let me know.

The hole in the bottom of my rear tube (for the long bolt) is completely torn out and ruined.

I think the tubes are all pretty much the same on the Farmall M thru Farmall 400/450.

Thanks,

IH didn't make the square tube. They bought it just as they did with the frame channels along side the engine.

You can also buy that tube at any steel supplier. I would replace it with solid square bar as your application probably exceeds the IH engineers calcs.

Got a drill press? Got a bolt supplier who can furnish grade 8 bolts? Fastenall should be nearby.

That repair would have only caused me about one hour's downtime. My junk pile is a handy resource.

Have a saginaw hitch on my super m. Was bending brackets very often. Took a piece of solid steel and inserted in the tube. Didn"t bend another one. Dick in Vermont.
