This tractor has to be the best buy I"ve ever made..in the past week it has been on the round baler after the 3688 got a rear flat, on the manure spreader, the tedder,raked about 75acres,and the silo blower for about 30 lds of haylage.Its certanly earning its keep around here does everything a 40,000 tractor can do and probably burn less fuel doing it!!

The fact that a 560 is 51 and 52 years old and still working so admirably is amazing. When new they were a little too easy to turn up to 84 hp and some failures gave them a bad name. Fact is, the 460 & 560 over the long haul have outlasted and outperformed most any late 50's early 60's mates.

560s are awsome thactors,Ilove em.my brother still has his(turbocharged,too)just repainted it.I sold mine a few years ago,stillregreting it.I do however still have my Super M,problally the best tractor on the place,it'll never leave!

I am just now doing a complete restore on a 560D. No matter what some people say, this is one tough, reliable tractor. IH overreacted in 58 and 59 with the bull gear problem. I will post some pics of mine as time permits.

I agree I have a gas 460 and 560 D, the only fault i can find with either is the clutch is a little weak but who knows how old they are in both them. The 560 Needs the valve under the seat fixed so it stays up( I put two Viagra Pills in the Hydro Oil but didn't help

I have a 560D ,3 560 Gas and a 460 gas an 460D puller. In fact I'm headed to a pull in half hour to pull the ole ugly 560D. Did good last night and I still think they are the best looking and performing series of I.H Spent many hours on these tractors and the gas is a little thirsty under heavy load and the diesels start hard, but the work accomplished for the investmant and fuel is still good enough for me.

Wwe have a 62 560 gas with 3900 hrs and mine is 59 diesel with fresh over hauled both
are great tractors. We use them daily on the farm We also got a fast hich plow with 4-14's
that diesel sure talks at the power show plowing away
and does very well at tractor pulls

I own the 560D & 412 that my grandfather bought new in 1963. Both 62 models. Use the 560 multiple times a week for various chores. Has had 4 tachs in it over the years and if I add them all up it exceeds 20,000 hrs... Never been majored and spent most of it's life spinning 2200 rpm. After a pump rebuild we're back to stock and have plenty of power for what she needs to do. Getting close to a rebuild... Pretty difficult to get started in the winter on glow plugs... Anymore we have to forget about them and resort to starting fluid...

The 412 is in the midst of being rebuilt for about the 5th time.
