I prefer a Year-Round or Hiniker cab.You can take the doors off in the summer & they are easier to get in & out.

that is a totally different cab than a *66 serias deluxe cab(red or white),whitch is an obnoxious, hard to see out of hunck of junck.

Hi Nate,

Six of one and half dozen of the other. They are both about the same.

If you are gonna be livin' in this tractor for long days in the field, buy yourself a set of $30 ear protectors.

Also, with all that glass, make sure your air conditioning is working because it will really get hot inside in the summer especially if you're workin' the tractor hard.

When we decided to slow down, we had a farm sale. We kept a set of equipment to tinker around with. We had a 706 with the German diesel (no cab), and a 766 diesel (with the red cab). Guess which one I sold?

When we bought the 766 in 1974, John Deere had just introduced their new style cab, which was a real cab. The cab on the 766 rattled and flopped around. We were trying to save $$, and had always been IH people, but the JD cab and the IH cab were not even in the same league. I had always looked at that example as to what I thought was the start of the demise of IH.

We had 1974 1066 with the red cab like the last picture. Was a very good cab we thought, could see equipment easy. All the windows opened except the winshield and without AC it still was hot and dirty in cab. The cab was really good for winter work.
