FARMALL H -Tractor Repair Book for International IH

I have a I&T catalog for my H, I also need a parts book for it . Which catalog do I need, so I can get part numbers to help order the right one.

With the IT manual, I purchased the IH Service Manual for "4 Cylinder Carborated Engines" Form ISS-1039-1. I purchase it a number of years ago from Binder Books. It covers all the IH engines made back then. It was originally produced in 1977. This manual is loose leaf to use in a 3- ring binder. This might be the way to go if you are servicing more than one tractor. At the time I had C, H ,M, 300 and it made sense to get a manual for all instead of piecemeal.

You need the I&T Shop Service Shop Manual IH-8. It covers all the letter series from stem to stern, Supers and non-Supers.

not sure if the parts books are still available new, you may find used ones on e bay. i have books for my w-9, also the w-6 and w-4 series. the w-6 is i-h tc 33d. you can go to case i-h website and select look up parts, it has parts diagrams and also the part numbers and will show if they are available or obsolete.

My library for each of my tractors includes, at a minumum, the I&T IH-8, the IH Operator's and Service Manuals, and the IH parts book. The IH manuals are available from this site and also from external_link.

The link here is at the very top left of the page. Once in, select Farmall then, when prompted for a model, search on H. The IH manuals and Parts Catalog are not far down the list and you'll see some more in-depth manuals for things like the tranny and others that may be of interest or useful to you.

external_link has a similar selection.

They will tend to be the same book from wither source (IH licenses them both). My own preference is for the binderbooks. Unless it's changed, the ones available here are those produced by JenSales, which tend to be photocopy quality reproduction. Those from binder have better reproduction (especially of the half-tone photo illustrations) and areprinted on more durale paper stock. That's just been my experience with them. YMMV.
