Tips on pulling a Bosch pump?

Its not hard to do.Most importantly,be sure you have all timing marks(pump/flywheel)lined up be for you loosen even one bolt.

Just curious why you have to pull the pump?

I thought those ol' gals would just about run forever?

I've got the same windrower, started acting up and I just knew it was the pump going south from the way it was acting. Turned out to be clogged fuel filters.

Hi Do not loosen cap screws on pump drive shaft gear. Only loosen and remove the big nut on the end of the drive shaft.

Is it leaking Diesel fuel into the crankcase?

No, it's leaking out the top rear around the little port on the head or the head to body O-Ring. Looks like a BB in the hole. PK
