330 UT oil pan removal

Do I have to remove or lower the front axle and stabilizer brace to remove the oil pan on my 330 UT?

I don't have a parts diagram or book to see whether the front axle might pivot, allowing the rear brace to be lowered enough to remove the pan.

Thanks.

I believe it is necessary to block up the front of the tractor, and remove the pivot pin (or almost remeve it) to allow the wishbone to drop.
It is necessary to be careful and ue good wheel chocks and blocking. Jim

Being impatient by nature, I took some of the weight off the front wheels with a jack and loosened the rear pivot bracket. The bracket stayed put. When I raised the jack a little, the bracket lowered.

So, I pulled the three bolts and slowly jacked up the front until the bracket was about 4 inches below the belly of the tractor.

I blocked the front end and was able to remove the pan and oil pump.

Bad news is, the bell housing where the bracket bolts at the bottom has been broken by a previous owner and welded back together.

If I can bring back an acceptable oil pressure, I will just go ahead and use the thing until there is any sign of further failure.

First time I ever bought a really bad deal on a wheel tractor. 8-(
