Super C fast Hitch

Is there anyway to lock a Super C fast hitch so it doesn't go up or down? I had a 560 with fast hitch and I could lock that one but I was wondering about the Super C.

Yes you can you have to remove the cylinder and put in a bar where it went. I think there was a factory part that you could get for there but have never seen one. I would try a top link off a 3 point, that way you could easily adjust hight.

I believe there is a hole in the bar that runs parallel with the lift cylinder that is used to pin the draw bar into place. You can pick up and appropriate length clevis pin or just use a nut and bolt.

Been a lot of years but I don't recall here being a way to pin it except I agree IH made a cylinder replacement rod. I recall it as being the same diameter rod as the cylinder pins, that was bent on the ends to stick through the cylinder pin holes, but I can't find it in any "attachments" section of my parts breakdown. If you are familiar with the rachet type manual cylinders, I think one of them would work because the F-H cylinder is a standard SAE type.

You can take the cap off the piston (the one with the hole in it), cut a section of pipe (water pipe) that's big enouch to go over the cyl piston at the lenght you want it to stay, do not put the pin back in the piston (so it floats), lower your 2pt down till the pipe is resting on raise/lower arm and it will stay there without moving the hyd lever...hope you unter stand what I'm saying..I do this when I plow with a C-20 plow to maintain a constant depth...shrps74
