little over 100 hours, boggs down pulling a 457 JD baler. Changed both fuel fiters ran OK then started bogging down again noticed bubbles in clear inline fuel filter when it boggs down
Ideas? Maybe bad fuel cap vent?

With just over 100 hours on it, I think I would be contacting the service department at the dealership where you bought it.

I haqve a new one with just over 40 hours on it.
No problems. We'll see if anything happens after the 50 hour maintenace procedures, (Filters and fluids).
That loud whistling from the turbo gets annoting. Reminds me of the old Paxton blowers.

I have, and they are scratching their heads until they get it on the dyno, I just really need it to bale hay :-(

I ran my 95 Today and looked at the inline filter and hose. NO BUBBLES. Sounds like you have air in the system. Perhaps some procedure should be followed that is NOT in the manual?
Did you change at 50 hours as per the manual? And did it start bogging down shortly after that?

If it shows bubbles that means the fuel is restricted some place behind them bubbles and causing it to draw air from any place it possibly can. I do not know where the filter is that you are seeing the bubbles in but at any rate you need to trace fuel flow from the bubbles back toward tank to find restriction. Old farmalls used to drop baffles in tank and lay over the outlet and caused just suck a problem.

Sounds they the Dealer needs to provide you with a replacement/loaner tractor so you can finish your crops till it gets the problem solved.

The dropped the tank and found a line that had been pinced when it was installed. had a very small cut in it. Relaced it and away it goes.
Now Back to the Hay field
