Int 460 PTO (Planetary) Band thickness how thick should it

I have a 1959 Int 460 Utility and PTO slips, i have adjusted according to manual so next step is the bands
It has the Planetary type PTO. just removed the PTO cover and have the bands out, and have measured them, but don't know what thickness should be.(whould like to get them religned as dealer quoted me $625 for replacement- i shutter to think if that was one or both)

The Forward one ( i think is the drive band) is 2/100's + of inch smaller than the rear creeper or braking band. .202-.215 front / 5.5mm
rear is .238 -.240 /5.95 r 6.0mm

I have searched the web but cant find anything on thickness when new

thanks who responded on removing the cover - used some heat to break retainer seal gasket that was stuck

The length of the band in combination with the thickness of remaining material makes the decision.
If the adjusting jamb nut is almost out of threads on the adjuster, it will need to be relined or new.
A crane rigging shop or good brake shop can reline the bands. for much less than the new OEM bands. Jim

Thank Jim, thanks before about where to find adjustment posts, I found it in the manual, and yes the adjusting screws are down all t way flush with lock nut, so My guess i need them relined.

Here's the tricky part- figuring out how much lining material the brake/truck reliner should add. At my delaer $625 not sure if that was each, probably won't want to order them, so i can get the thickness of lining.

I wish there was a spec somewhere, my only other thought was put the forward engagement band in (this is thinner one .202 or 5.5mm and tight screw down all the way flush again, then back it off till it comes up an 1 1/2 out of tight, and see what it looks like it would add to thickness to be tight again. Kinda a micky mouse way to do it though,

So you se my dilema what would the brake shop ask me likely- how thick of a lining

If you go with .0625 thicker than the thickest one, you will be in fat city. If it will still not install, a belt sander, and a respirator will thin it down easily, be flat with it though, no taper. Drilling several holes with a small bit across and along the band to a very short depth (.010"), using a mechanical depth stop like a tube over the drill will allow an even removal of material to the depth of the drilled spots. So here is what i found out. first off the link is for Photos of repiar, and homade puller etc to get PTO housing off (ED-3262) good luck finding one of them, 2nd I had to heat the Retainer cover with Mapp Gas torch and beat it with a Brass punch to get it off. The Front engagement band with metal and liner was .202 inches thick . THe rear Creeper brake band was .240 inches, material - the Int /Case dealer may have slipped and mentioned it was 3/16 liner material, they are being good at sending it off to be relinend. Otherwise one Band new from Mfg is $625 smakeroos. Yes they knew it was a ripoff to so they are good to do this, likely around $100 for both but will wiat and see. them material on the rear braking band was about .105 inches so 3/16 .1875 new, I could have swapped them, but maybe braking of pto would not work then. Also I noticed the adjustment in the pto engagement lever was not right. Band bottom dog was more tilted toward creeper band keeper pin. so adjusted that to even. See my picture link for repair job and homade puller, thanks for everyones help, I thought it was least i could do to show some pictures for next guys. I will post cost of band reline when i get them- 1 week to do.
