IH 66 series tractor

I was wondering where a person can find stainless steel bolts with the washer built on it for holding the sheet metal on my 766. I found the bolts but not SS. If i clear coated the metal bolts would they still darken and rust? Thanks Kent
 
The hood bolts from Case I H are cadmium plated and will stay rust free for years , BUT when they were new all the bolts were painted red anyway . As for us trying to make a 1066 into a show tractor that ain't going to happen as we still use them as what they were meant to be a work horse . Even my S/MTA that was on the video for the 94 Red Power show was in the field working two days before the show and all it took was some soap and water and a polish job . IT did all the corn planting and drilled in 54 acres of beans with a 5100 drill then spent the rest of the summer on the baler baling idiot cubes .and not counting the tractor pulls that it went to .
 
it's just a 1066. Put regular bolts in the hood. My dad bought one new in 1972. it and the 86 series were P. O. S. just my opinion. Glad we switched to Case
 
On my 1066 that my dad and uncle bought new the sheet metal bolts are all cadmium plated. Non are painted.
