adding fast hitch 240 utility

i'm wanting to add a fast hitch to my 240 utility. my local wrecker doesn't have a complete hitch(missing some parts). was wondering what other tractors might share the same hitch. or is the 240 utility rear end unique? thanks

I would look in the caseih.com parts (on line) catalog for part numbers of the missing parts, then see if they are common to 350 460 utility tractors or others. the 300 U is substantially different, but could have some numbers, I do not know. Jim

Might have some parts the same as a 240 row crop or 340U or RC... doubt much would interchange with a 300/350/460.

In 1970 we bought an ex-Texas highway dept 240U and I think the fast hitch we installed came off a 230 or 240 farmall. I'm not sure, but some parts from the 340 or 460 hitch might fit.

Pass on the partial hitch. You'll have a much easier time finding another complete hitch than finding the missing parts.

240s are not common. 240s with fast hitches are less common. 240 fast hitches without 340s attached to them are even less common...

The beauty of the situation is that a 240 is basically just a 230 with different sheet metal. A 230 is just a 200 with some minor differences that don't affect the fast hitch attach points. A 200 is just a Super C with different sheet metal...

So, a fast hitch off a Super C, 200, or 230 should fit the 240.

Super C and 200 fast hitches will not mount on 240 Farmall or Utility, but may mount on a 230 with Touch Control.

The SC and 200 hitch requires the flat transmision deck for mounting the cylinder arm (as do early 300 and 400 hitches) that the 240´s do not have, along with the Touch Control for the draft which the 240 doesn´t have.
