correct tire size Super C

I was out mowing with A super C and I got a flat front tire. It's getting kind of rotten so I'm going to get a new one. The tire's on this tractor are 6.00-15. But the Super c I use to plant sweet corn and cultivate Has 4.00-15 on the front. Does anyone know what the correct tire size is for a Super C? Thank's Dale.

The parts catalog calls for either a 4.00 X 15" or 5.00 X 15" with no mention of a 6.00 inch tire. Hope this helps, Hal.

Here is a place that has about every model of tractor, they tell tire sizes. (Link Below)

I think most of them run the 5.00-15 which I think is correct. I replaced mine with 4.00-15. I had a lapse in memory when I brought them and got the wrong size. Didn't want to drive 80 miles back to exchange them. I asked on this board about it and everyone said the 4.00 would be ok. That was about 5 years ago and they have worked out ok. I still think the 5.00 look better on them though.

The 6.00-15 tires give you marginally better floatation, and may be less prone to mark up your lawn when it's wet.

4:00 x 15 or 5:00 x 15 were both available from factory when new. I think 5:00 x 15 looks best. To me 6:00 x 15 looks too big.

Thank's every one for the replies. If new 500-15's arn't to costly I'll get a set of them,if not one 600-15 will do. Thanks Dale
