Anyone with a 2000 Series loader mounted on a 404?

Does anyone here have a 2000 series loader mounted on a 404? I picked up a 2000 loader in good condition cheap, as in $250. The loader came with 504 mounts which I know are completely wrong and we'll probably need to fabricate something.

But I've never seen the 404 mounts.

Does anyone have a good picture of the correct mounting or failing that, a copy of a manual page that tells me what I need? I'm not even sure where it sits on the tractor at this point.

Any help would be appreciated!

Are you aware you can access the parts manuals at the CIH site?

I don't know if the drawings will be much help, but it might be worth a look.
Parts lookup

I'm aware of the parts lookup on CaseIH. I've used it a lot. Unfortunately there's no listing for the 2000 loader.

The 404 listing shows the recommended front mounted pump bracket etc. but nothing at all on the mounts for the loader.

If the 404 mounts are shown in the 2000 loader manual I'd buy one of those but I don't feel like dropping $40 on one if it doesn't have what I need.

My late uncles 404 ser#534 supposedly had a loader on it from the factory. He bought it used with a recent overhaul (1972). Some geinus put loctite the loader bolts, so they cut the bolts off with a torch.

There are cut bolts in the 2 holes in the side of the clutch/trans housing and it looked like brackes went around the rear axle housing

I will stop by there soon & take a look

you could look at pics of other tractors/loaders for sale for ideas as well

Someone posted drawings of the mounts on another board so at least I know how the factory did it. Since the loader I got is for a 504 I'm going to need to shorten the rear of the loader frame and fabricate new mounts.

For what I have in the loader it's probably worth doing.

hat seems unlikely.

I should have said "it looks like I'll need to shorten it" I haven't measured it yet to be sure.

The 504 mounts the loader has now are completely different than what I need. They use a flat mounting plate and a flat plate behind the axle. The 404 mounts have a horizontal V shaped mounting plate and a similar one behind the axle.

If the loader frame length is the same for both tractors it would certainly be simpler. I could just weld some v-block shaped pieces on the exiting flat mounting plate. Not identical to the factory 404 mounts but close enough.
