Rock Shaft Pins for Super C

Does anyone know the dimensions of the pins for the rockshaft arms for a Super C?? I'm going to put the cultivators on Cmore, and seems I loose them from one year or two to the next!! I know they are "flat" on one end....Thanks, Cmore

I think that they are about 3/8" and about 1" to 1 1/2" long. You can get them from Case/IH for about $15.00 each. A 3/8" carriage bolt would probably work. Might need to round off the square part of the bolt with a bench grinder. They are much harder than a regular bolt but one of my C's had bolts in it when I bought it.

The pins are 1/2 inch diameter, not 3/8. I was warned by a dealer once not to mske my own from bolts as they would bend and get stuck in the rockshaft. I think making them using a grade 8 bolt would be OK though. Just don't use a hardware store grade 2 bolt. I think it would work to cut the bolt to length and then grind the head to appoximate the original pins. Start with a bolt long enough so that there is sufficient unthreaded length. These things are quite pricey from the dealer. Steiner Tractor has them at a better price. Their catalog says 1/2 inch diameter by 1 3/8 long.
