Live PTO on a Super C?

Has anyone ever heard of a Super C with Live PTO, either factory or after-market?

No...that would be a 340...which, with the "right" sheet metal, might be a Super C-TA.

It could be done hydraulically with a much larger pump driven from the front of the engine. I suppose you could also do it mechanically with an electric clutch also driven from the front of the engine.

Nah, I'm not interested. I've got a 504 anyway. Why bother? I'd rather put a Curtis-Wright radial into my Harley-Davidson.

The person selling the tractor doesn't understand what "live PTO" is. Whether you want to try correcting them or not is up to you. They may not react favorably to being corrected. With the kooks out there these days, I personally would not want to risk being stalked and harrassed for the next 6 months over something that stupid.

If the price is right, buy it, smile sweetly, and wave goodbye. Let him them live in their ignorance, fat and happy.
