Carb for cub

I need to replace the carb on my 1967 Cub. Are there different carbs to fit this model or are all of them built to the same specs?

So, why do you feel that you need to replace the carburetor? What is the issue that you are trying to resolve?

There are only two reasons to replace a carburetor:

1. It is missing.
2. It has been smashed beyond repair.

If the carburetor still looks like a carburetor, it can be rebuilt. There is nothing mystical about them, it's just a matter of getting it cleaned out, and getting the adjustments right. On a Cub carb there aren't many adjustments.

Replace the carb if you want, but I'm hoping here to cajole you into giving a rebuild a[nother] try.

Maybe a rebuild would help it. I can not seem to get all the passages cleaned out. It runs but it is not getting enough fuel. It looks like it is getting rust or trash from the fuel tank. I am just trying to make the wife happy. She wants the yard mowed and mowed now!

If that is the source of the problem, the first thing you better do is clean the fuel tank and make sure you have a functioning sediment bowl with a screen. Otherwise a new carburetor will quickly have the same problem as the old one.
