hello Jimb,

I took a better look at my pump - it IS a ganged unit - the block on the right side is a relief valve for the power steering - any suggestions now????

Hi John, now we have to determine if the problem is caused by:
1)Clogged filters, see caseih.com parts 364 hydraulics page 5-04, item #3 suction screen and item #5 orifice filter?
2)Bad hydraulic pump?
3)3pt control lever not working?

Does tractor have a hydraulic aux outlet at the rear?

Some tests to do:
1)Place 3pt control lever at half way been up & down, then close the shut off knob at right side at front of seat. Next move 3pt control lever up about an inch, hopefully you will hear the hydraulic relief valve make a buzzing noise. Return 3pt lever to mid point and open the shut off valve.

2)Be VERY CAREFUL with this next test as the 3pt arms could raise very rapidly and drop rapidly. Make sure everyone is clear and any implement on the 3pt will not come in contact with tractor.
With 3pt control lever at max up position, slowly move the draft control lever upward and see if 3pt will lift up.

Report back with the results of these tests.
