Delivered tractor today, saw the rear of this thing. Stopped and asked what it was. Turned out to be W 450 gas. Serial number 1322. It was overhauled a few years ago then carb screwed up. Been sitting since then. Long story short... I ended up buying it and hauling it home. It's sitting in the garage now. I'll rebuild the carb tomorrow. Has power steering but steering box seems screwed up. May have to tear it apart and rebuild it. Where is there a good source to get used parts? I usually use Steel Wheel Ranch, don't know if he has any of these. Going to Red Power in a couple weeks, may be some stuff there.

Don't dump on the PS until you put power to it. We're not talking about the armstrong variety. The Pitman arm moves the hydraulic cylinder that has the directional valves built into the far end. If you don't like it, I will swap you for the manual setup on my W-400.

Looks like you have a TA but no IPTO. Nice fenders.

If you are as crazy as I am, maybe it will look like this someday.

Wardner what kind of wheel is that , do you have to manually flip those up or down or can you do it hydraulically also does it really do any good?

wardner had a long topic about those a long time ago, maybe when he first put them on?. you manualy flip them out and i think they are used for muddy conditons or when you are stuck?. it was a while ago though maybe a year or so

The cleats are rotated by hand. An over-center spring on each cleat keeps them in or out of deployment. They were made in Canada by a company called the Traction Company. I think the net effect of these traction aids is they permit the tractor to go further a from solid footing and get stuck twice as badly. On the other hand, they are probably great for skidding logs through two feet of snow.

I am still working on the tractor so I haven't tested the wheel attachments yet.

looks like a nice find.

now that you've got the serious replies:

those lawn sprinklers (like pictured on the platform) are junk. And those look like used fuel filters. I hope you got a discount for the garbage. :)
