WD9 injection pump leak

The throttle shaft going into the injection pump on a McCormick WD9 is leaking between the shaft and housing.

Can the leak be fixed without removing the injection pump? What part(s) is needed to repair? Is there some other cause for the leak, i.e. high pressure?

Tractor runs fine.

common problem. unfortunately the pump has to be completely disassembled to get that seal out. throttle shaft is about the last thing to come out when you take the pump apart.

Anyone know of a reasonable $$$ place to get a shaft seal replaced. One location wanted $900 to rebuild pump.
