dynoing a farmall 450

If you have never run a dyno before then your best bet is to just start off working it under varying loads for the first ten hours then change the oil and filter and work it a little harder till ya got around thirty hours and change the oil and filter again and put it to work .
 
i do know how to work a dyno i just dont know the proper way to break in a gas burner tractor, on diesles i usually just build up rpms and load over time
 
Years ago,my fatheer told me of a new M,Dealer said 2nd gear for 1 day,the old farmer figured 2nd geaR for 2 days would be better,Dad said that it was the best"damn" M in the county!The old tractor never sat in the shed a day in its life!

Do you know what it did for two days in second gear? Pulled a combine? Plowed? Idled around the yard? Cultivated? That would be good to know, but is probably lost to time.......
