Farmall M Pedal Extensions

My girlfriend doesn't have long enough legs to push in the clutch and brakes without sliding down in the seat and fully extending her legs. has anyone made a set of extensions on the pedals for shorter people....The seat is all the way forward and I'm not sure what else to do. My idea is a piece of 2x4 steel boxed tubing with a U-bolt clamp....Thanks

Do you feel confident 2 bolts will hold it safely? He said he moved it all the way foward already, and to get any closer would require removing two of the bolts to safely hold it.Or am I off base in your thinking.......

OOPS, it was later in the evening when I read this post and didn't see that the seat had already been moved forward, but yes, just 2 bolts will hold it, especially with a smaller operator. I've got an an H and an M, both converted to the Monroe seat from the original pipe frame seat, and 2 bolts are all that will fit. None of the other bolt holes will line up, and both were that way long before I got them.

I just remember Dad moved his foward so that only 2 bolts were holding it and it had some wobble back and forth. He almost flipped over backwards because of it. He eventually made some plates to kinda push down on the front of it and it was fine like that.

Two bolts probaly OK but I would not want to ride it over rough ground pulling disk or rotary cutter. Come to think of it we ran Super M for years with one bolt broke off but it was in back.
