Yes, the easiest way is to use a dedicated V-belt driven PS pump. You would need a Behlen or Char-Lynn actuator, automotive PS pump, bracket, pulley, V-Belt, and two hoses. You have a choice of high mount or low mount on the PS pump. Low mount requires altering the fan shroud.

Or you could use all the hardware from a stock 400-450 that was factory equipped with PS. Major items would be Behlen torque generator and the different regulator that replaces the non-PS regulator on a 400-450. I chose the latter route.

To add factory power steering to a 300/350 or 400/450 you need everything in the picture. Behlen steering motor and hoses, priority valve, inner hydraulic valve, U-shaped jumper and the shorter steering shaft.

If the question is the tractor has the regular hydraulics but you don"t plan to ever use them for anything. Can the power steering be run from the system without a priority valve? Yes, tie or block one of the control valves to a pressure position. Hook the outlet line with pressure to the steering unit pressure port and the return line to the other outlet line. Valve set to double acting.
Have checked the steering units on dead tractors by parking another tractor beside and running long hoses to the steering unit from the remote outlets.
