what is a farmall 450 worth? Located in Iowa.
Tractor runs, needs a little love and care, tin
and paint ok for sitting outside

If the TA is good, and the tires are OK to use, I would say 2500 to 3500. If issues are Oil consumption, or leaks, or hydraulic, I would go no more than 2000. JimN

I just purchased a Farmall 450 Gas tractor 3 weeks ago. I paid 3650, Tires were new, professional paint 2 years ago, there was a small oil leak around the governor, but I was able to fix that with about a hour of my time. 5 foot wide 3 point disc, 2 row plow, 4 row corrigator, and 5 foot blade. The engine just purrs...

Some things not mentioned that I would want to know about if I considered purchasing it could have a influence on worth. Condition of tires and rims? Good T/A? Power steering? good hydraulics? Straight drawbar, fast hitch, or other? Wheel wheights, fenders, wide front or narrow? Also I would make sure its a 450 before paying more than a 400 price. Have saw several 400 tractors badged and painted like a 450 and sold as 450 tractors in the past.

Two years ago I bought mine. It is narrow front, fast hitch, torque works, power steering. It needed a little tlc. It also came with a three bottom plow. I gave 2500. for it.

Make sure it has the correct head for a 450 gas ! The L.P 450 head is the high dollar one but the gas head is next. A good 450 gas head will bring $500 to $700 so keep this in mind.

How do you tell the gas head from a lp head? How do you tell if this tractor is a 450, by serial
number only or are there other ways of checking?
