ok guys where do i start?

was rolling hay with our 686 today when the pto started "slipping" and will only turn the roller if its empty try to pick up a little hay the pto stops
where do i neede to start lookin for this problem

Start looking in the PTO unit, of course.

The clutches are probably shot. That means a remove and replace of the PTO unit. Just park the tractor on a steep hill with the nose pointed down, or drain the rear end first. You'll have your own miniature Gulf oil spill otherwise.
