Farmall Super A transmission

Hi,

Our "new" Farmall Super A has a lot of noise
coming out of the transmission. I had a look
inside through the filler hole, and the oil is
emulsified. I"m going to pick up (or order) a
manual tomorrow.

Anyone replaced transmission bearings before &
what can I expect?

Sometimes the input bearing in the front will be worn and replacing sure can quiet the tranny a bunch.

Overhauled my transmission last week. It had all the teeth stripped off the oiler gear, several bad bearings, and leaking seals. Started looking because of finding water in oil. Bought tractor from older gent that never had a shed to park it in.
