H carb Problem

Hey guys, My H was running just fine until the other day I shut it off and went to start it again and it would not start. When I went to look what the problem could be, gas was pouring (literley) out of the bottom of the carb. It starts withno choke whatsoever but after you shut it down and try to start it again, you have to crank and crank and crank till it burns all the gas off. Whats the problem?

Thanks, Cole

Your float has become a sink, or there is trash in the needle and seat area or something like that. Take the carb bowl down and you should be able to figure it out.

I will add that it is really important to shut off the fuel at the tank every time. (even if it does not leak!) I second the needle and seat/float issue in the carb. Jim

...and sometimes the journal on the float will slip to one side and the needle valve won't seat. I bought a Farmall C once where the float was installed upside down... You never know what you will find.
