what would cause a seal on the transmision shaft where it comes into the bell housing and conects to the clutch to leak installed two seals a speedy sleeve on shaft and still leaks. Is there a posability that a return hole for the oil to the bearing be plugged??? any help would be great.

Is the bearing good? If the bearing is worn and has play, you won't be successful in getting the seal to hold. Also, don't know what tractor you are talking about, but on most IH tractors, the seal at tht front of the transmission runs on the clutch coupling, not directly on the shaft. Even if the seal is good, oil can still leak between the shaft and the coupling part and come out around the washer and bolt that hold the coupling on the shaft. There is supposed to be a gasket under the washer to prevent this from happening.

yea we got it fixed, now we have the tractor apart at the bell housing and working on a bent shaftthat goes in to the trans, thats why the seals wont hold. just a little reminder of where the tractor once was (fence row) but we willget it back right soon. Cant waite
