Super A hood

Any one ever get a hood from OEM Tractor Parts? I have ordered a few things from them, such as battery boxes, and they always have to be modified to fit. Going to be hard to modify a hood with no metal working skills. BUT, mine is warped and is not going to fit right when I get done "restoring" my Super A. On sale for $77.35, about half price. Do they have the same weight sheet metal? Steniers wants $200. All comments appreciated.

A friend bought one from Stiener - for a Farmall A - it fit well with no mod"s. It was only $130-ish back in December. $200 seems high - I think OEM was $200. ?

Steiner's current catalog says 199.50 OEM is about 157 on their website before the sale. OEM 2010 catalog says 119. I have more confidence in Steiner than OEM, but Steiners may be made by OEM, anyway. I'll look at Steiner's website.

OEM is separate, but I will use my old J hooks and springs, as long as they remember to install the brackets. OEM sells each part separately, $84 for all, making their regular price $241 vs Steiners $199.50. A couple of other dealers want about $225 for the whole thing. I am going to chance the $77.

Unfortunately most aftermarket parts, excluding seals, gaskets, and other parts from CaseIH (usually outsourced to Mexico), are Asian.

I got 2 form OEM they would not fit, was wanting to get US, but got one of the China it fit, go figure, also got complete bat. box from OEM, with the T-bolts they sent and the way the bracket on the lid was made there was no way it would work, had to modify it.
