Painting of Distributor on Farmall Super C

Hello. I would like to know if the whole distributor was painted at assembly on the Farmall Super C. Did they mask off the cap, coil? Were they left black? THANKS ALL

Cap and wires were masked off. The coil was painted along with the rest of it.

In the days of lead paint, the spark would jump around the distributor cap when painted, otherwise I am sure they would have painted the whole thing.
