I looking for a place to get new rear tires for my H tractor. Any exsperience with finding the cheapest place? Any info is appreciated.

Thanks,
Joe

JH, Find a local tire dealer that sells BTK or Harvest King they are about the least expensive. Do not buy any cheep tire that are made in China. When they are out to the sun they crack. oldiron29

CFI in Des Moines IA has the cheapest in the country. I just shopped for and bought 11.2X36" Firestones & 12.4X38" Titans. Next cheapest was Tiretown in Kansas City KS.

m.e. Miller tire out of Wauseon OH. They bring a trailer to shows all over the country. They can bring your tires to a show near you if arrange with them soon enough so they can save room

I just ordered a pair of 12.4x38 from Miller's in Ohio. I'm saving shipping by picking them up in July at the Old Thresher's Reunion in Denton, NC.

I am not kidding, by another tractor that has good tires, switch them and then sell the other tractor. You will wind up making money or maybe loosing 300.00(not bad for a set of rear tires.

I should add, I have a 460 with good tires and rims for sale(looks like crap) runs good, 1100.00 I am just north of Hannibal.

Joe, send me an email if as good as new tires will work for you. They have been used very little and would be willing to sell them mounted on the existing rims if you need them with tubes and such. One rim has a repair around the valve stem. I would be pleased to provide additional info as I found a new pair on better rims which were only used on a short tractor ride on a M. I am located south of you near Rolla if you think they would work for your needs. They are 12.4 X 38" and are matched tires purchased through Coop and made in USA. Let me know if you would like additonal information. Good luck, Hal.

I simply ordered new tires for my SMTA from the local tire dealer. $550 each for 15.5x38's. Made in Isreal. Seem like good tires so far. For me, I'd rather buy from someone local who will be around to help me when I get a flat or whatever. If you aren't going to be using your tractor, I can see shopping around to save a few bucks.
