Over the past few weeks i've had my M out in the yard doing a little light work and had a few people stop in and check out this tractor. '42 just a normal good workhorse. Has a nice 3pt hitch on it with loader, bucket, snowblade and 2 new front tires which wern't on there at the time of this picture...they all asked what would i sell it for, i said oh i don't know about 1,200...i'm not looking to get rid of it really, but i could let it go to do some house remodeling...every single person rolled they're eyes and said that's outragous..you tell me?

Considering the new front tires, 3-pt hitch and loader with bucket and blade, I think $1200 is a fair price, even taking into account the ongoing economic depression.

First Tedd, what's it going to cost to replace it? That ol' M can do alot of work compared to a high dollar set of cabinets. Just my opinion though, I told my wife many years ago, the inside was hers and the outside was mine. Needless to say, I spend most of my time outside. :)

well thanks guys, i guess i'll part with it if anybody on here wants to travel to illinois to get it ha ha. I have a couple AC's in the barn and the wife says something may need to go, doing full house remodel :(....but hey thanks guys!

Was at an auction a couple months back and an M about like yours without the 3 point sold for $1400. It fired right up and sounded like an M always sounds.

$1200 for what you have is a fair price. That tractor wouldn't last 1 week here in western PA at that price. If I were in the market, I would buy it at that price.

Tractor prices vary quite a bit depending upon you location. I continue to look for an F-30 here is western Pa. Ones that I have found are either in worse shape than parts tractors, or the price is so high you would think it was made of gold.

Then I look out west, and see them in decent restorable condition for what I think are great prices. However, my cost to drive out and bring it back push the total cost up near what the decent ones are here in Pa.

If it runs OK, doesn't smoke, decent oil pressure, etc I would say $1,200 is a fair price without the 3 point and loader. Those will add value. So I think your price is cheap.

Slim is right, if the 3-point is decent, like a Worksaver, or better yet, a Saginawtractor hitch, you can get $300 for the 3-point. I sold a Worksaver 3-point for a Farmall C for $300. You might get as much as $200 for the loader, but more than likely it's worth maybe $100. The tractor itself is worth at least a $1000.

Dont sell it unless you need to.You will never be able to replaceit for what you get for it.I sold a similar M ('41,loader,3 point, good rubber and tin)for $1500 several years ago and have regretted sellinng it.took a long time to find suitable, affordable loeder tractor.

$1200 for that? I'll take 6 of them.

I was at an auction on Tuesday and saw an M with the old straight-arm IH loader, a bucket, blade go for $1250.

It looked way worse than yours, even in the pictures.
