what is the ta gear ratio reduction on 560

I don't remember the reduction as IH expressed it, but for practical purposes, the TA reduces the ground speed to a little less than 1 gear down. As an example 3rd gear direct in my 460 is 5.4 mph, 3rd TA is 3.7, 2nd direct is 4.0. That is a reduction in speed of 31.5% for that gear. Other gears are similar but vary slightly.

Reduction is 33 percent. Multiply rated speed of the gear by .67 to get low range speed. All mechannical TAs whether in a 300 or 686 have the same reduction.
