I cant seem to get a couple valves unstuck on my f20. I am afraid if i pry to hard it will break one of the valves. also how often should one put oil in the valve cover to fill the drip pans.

kelby, I tap the vavles with a block of wood lightly and spray with PB most time I can get them loose and you have to work them back in.
every day you run the tractor you should oil the head. Check you level and drain if needed.

Don't pry on them you'll bend them. I set the head on edge and drive the stem in with a hammer, then spray the stem with PB and lightly tap them back to the seat. I use a wood dowel on the valve end. After several times even the worst ones come out for me.

Oil the top end every ten hours running time and it should always be the first thing you do on startup procedure.

these directions are for if the head is off. i really did not want to take the head off the tractor is there any way to do it without taking the head off the motor?

I have. If they are not stuck solid. If you can tap them down with a light hammer and then pop them back up with a tire iron. But if they are suck tighter than that you will have to take the head off. Sorry.
