Aux. Hyd. remotes on a 574

My 574 has duel Aux. Hyd. remotes, but they are different from the ones in the shop manual I have. They do not fit tightly together, there is a nipple between them and the operator valve is vertical rather than horizontal. They are connected to the supply with hyd. hose rather than pipe. Anybody know what I have?

Somebody installed generic spool valves on your tractor. Evidently it did not come with remotes from the factory, OR, the factory valves were removed and replaced with these... Though, I would think that it would be cheaper to rebuild the factory valves than to buy new.

you should be able to change the female ends on the tractor to common ends to match your equipment . I think you do have a generic setup but if it works it works .

Upon closer examination, it appears as if the valves are in pretty bad shape. Can I replace with a $100.00 valve from Northern Tool? It appears as if they are designed for wood splitters but seem to have the volume and can handle the pressure.
