Looking for list of which plows go with each series tractors from the mid 50's to mid 60's. Is there a website or forum that might have such a list or guide?

If there is, I haven't found it. There's not a lot on plows out there, and no dedicated websites that I can find.

Plow guy webmaster just ain't natural. You know what I mean?

Someone should probably create one. Don't you think? What're you doing next week? :) You could take all the research you're doing, write it up, and publish it on the web.

By the way, the #8 Little Genius plow was manufactured up until 1960, so it wouldn't be unusual to see one behind tractors as new as a 560, and still be "period correct." You'd want one with Plow Chief or Super Chief bottoms and hydraulic lift, for best effect.

#16 Little Genius was fairly common during that time period too I think.

Another plow in the trailer plow genre would be a #60. The manual I have for mine is dated 1958, so I know for sure the #60 overlapped the #8 for a few years.

Unfortunately I can't tell you a lot about the mounted plows... 311, 412... There were literally dozens of different plows through the 1950's and 1960's.

I have an original sales receipt dated 9/16/37 where the farm bought a new F-20 & 2 bottom 2x14" #8 Little Giant plow. I can also remember pulling a 3x14" #8 with an M & a 3x16" hyd # 16 with a SM in the mid '50s. Later replaced in the M with a 450 & 3x16 #311 in the late '50s. In '67 we bought a new 656 & new 4x14" # 540 and later a 806 & 6x14" #560 plow in the late '60s. I bought a new 1066 & new 5x18# #710 in 1975. I believe the 720s were just coming on the market at that time.

These tractors all pretty much matched up with the plows of the same era

The number 70 is also in there along with the number 60. It was a heavier built plow than the number 60.

The number 8, 16, 60, and 70 were trailer plows.

The 311, 412, were fast hitch plows.
