I have a h carb with a tag #45108DB with a broken casting, have been looking for a used carb but cant find a carb with that number. What other casting #'s will work?

Tha number was an IHC D-10 carburetor used for kerosene engines.
The IHC D-10 carburetor for the gas H was 50981DA.

I have a good top half of an H carburetor listed on my website, but I'm guessing it is the bottom half that you need. It makes no difference what number is on the tag because the parts will all interchange.

6272 DB is a part number for either the top half or for the bottom half and has nothing to do with the model number which is stamped on the brass tag. Like I said before, the H carburetors will all interchange. It is only the internal parts that are slightly different, and those parts will interchange also.

I had exactly the same question; the leak is from the idle adjustment screw that points downward under the bowl. I'm hoping (and asking) if a repair kit is all I need? I'm guessing the seal may be bad, but I'm not sure the idle adjustment actually comes out and can be replaced. Thanks for clearing up the 6272DB issue. I'll look for the actual tag, probably painted over.

There is a "packing" inside there. You can try to tighten the packing nut, as already suggested, but if that does not work, you will have to replace the packing. Also, the area where that screw is located is the most common place for the casting to crack, so look it over good and make sure it is not cracked.

A GOOD carburetor repair kit DOES include the new packing, but there are also many kits available for sale that DO NOT include that packing.
