engine --td18

OK you IH guru's--i have availible to me a td18 engine -- it starts on gas and switches to deisel - and does so very nicely- it will come out of a gallion road grader-- make me a deacent offer and you might own it-- if it dont sell in a couple weeks it is going to the scrap yard and i dont want that to happen but there is nothing i can do about it --so help yourself --email or call asap-- thanks in advance

Why do they always leave off the important parts?

And I need some evidence. I have yet to see an 18 in a grader. Lots of the smaller 502/525/552 sized 6 cylinders. Not saying it didn't happen, but...

I had a grador with a 6 cylinder but was a UD16

OK it might be a td16 - only going by what someone told me- the no. on the block is UD554M 1343--maybe that will help -- and yes it is a 6 cyl. if you buy it for 1200 dollars you get the whole rear half of the grader and you can scrap every thing else if you would like and come out with a 200 dollar motor--just guessing the wheight of the rest -- it will drive on your trailer and have loading docks to help load-- thanks for looking!!

The UD554 is definitely a UD16 based engine, only a later model. Rated at 100 HP. Same parts as a 9 engine. (Had a brain fart when I said 552) Those are hard to find in good shape. If nothing else, four of those cylinders will make a D335 or D350 WD9 engine into a D370. Or use the entire engine and make a stretch 9 and cause much controversy at the tractor pulls.
