cylinder head studs

I am rebuilding an IH C-175 gas engine. I have twelve 5-15/16”, two 6-1/8” and two 6-1/2” cylinder head studs. Due to a senior moment I lost track of their proper location by length. Also my IH service manual lists the number of studs as thirteen 5-15/16”, one 6-1/8” and two 6-1/2” studs. I have a bonus 6-1/8” stud. I know one 6-1/8” stud is for cylinder lead stud sleeve and the two 6-1/2” studs are for the air cleaner bracket. I want to make sure they are installed in the right location. Please reference stud locations from the front of the engine with the exhaust manifold on right. I also need information about the lead stud sleeve. What does this sleeve do? And how is it installed? Thanks, Allen Rush

If sitting on the tractor, left side or manifold side, The longest two are the number 2 & 3 studs and the next longest one is 4. The two longest ones are for the throttle bracket. This is for a Farmall 350.

Sounds like you have a utility tractor. Think you already answered that the 6-1/8 goes in at the head sleeve location, should have a thick washer to go on it under the nut also. Center of head nearest in line with the valve springs. For some reason you have a extra 6-1/8, just make sure the nut doesn't bottom on threads when used. You already figured out the long ones.
Later on IH started putting 11 short, one 6-1/8 and 4 long ones instead of different amounts for mounting LP equipment.
Don't know about a lead stud sleeve.
