Got a manual yesterday for the IH 2 row planter I got this spring. Thought it was 244 or 246 but the manual shows that they have a gear box type thing that the speeds can be changed with a shield over it towards the front of the planter. Mine doesnt have that gear box there but is the same in all other parts, no check row parts but had power hill drop plates in it. Maybe the model before the 244 and 246???

depending upon the frame and style of the drives could be a couple of models...

If it is the older style like the 202 203 205 series stuff it'd be a 231...
