Battery Box advice please

Hello all. Would someone please give me some direction as to where the best place tp purchase a 3 piece battery box for a super A? The cheapest I have found is $110 plus shipping. Is that in the ballpark or do any of you have any other options? Thanks
 
Try OEM Tractor Parts or Steiners. I have delt with both companies for years and am always satisfied. You can find them on the internet.
 

Battery boxes in my opinion are ALL way overpriced, but $110 doesn't sound like too bad of a deal. $40 or $50 SHOULD be high enough, but it isn't.
 
I couldnt agree with you more and its sickening. Apparently they think that farmers or collectors have money. What is there, like $10 in material?

Their prices are no better.
 
A wise man once told me that if you are too concerned with the cost of your tractor restoration then you should take up a different hoppy. Seems that folks who eat out alot or go to bars aren't too worried about how much they spend. Putting a price on your hobby takes the fun out of it. Anyone who has ever RESTORED a tractor knows that when completed, if you take into account your time along with the actual price of NOS or QUALITY reproduction parts, you have more invested than the thing is worth, monitarily speaking. It's the satisfaction of a job well done that makes this hobby a pleasure.
 
I made mine, I worked at a place that did sheet metal work,You should be able to find a shop that would make it for you,the cost should be around $50,It takes about 1/2 hour
