H pistons and rods

Iam starting to put my H back together after a yr of being tore down and i guess my memory aint what it was a yr ago.There is a stamp on the pistons that looks like a Z ,this would face towards the front right?As far as the rods go in i dont have a clue on which direction they should be turned.As you have probably guessed wrenching is not one of my specialtys.HELP!

The old rule of thumb is to number the rods on the camshaft side.

Well i didnt do that when i took them apart,any other suggestions?

Put one rod and piston in together. The rod will be installed right if it makes a full revolution. I just put mine back together and I cant for the life of me remember either. If it is in wrong it will contact the block or cam, again cant remember which. Turn it by hand or pipe wrench. Good luck.
