Farmall B with Woods value

Guy has a Farmall B "Cultivision" with Model 59 Woods 5-foot mower. Has dings and dents but seems to run well and mow OK. Year unknown. Still 6-volt. Tires mismatched and cracked/checked but hold air. Can you give a ballpark on value with the Woods mower? Sorry, but I'm more familiar with N-series Fords and need your help on this one ASAP. Thanks in advance.

Out here in Oregon, if the tractor is in as-is condition, unrestored and considered in "average" condition with the woods belly mower about the same, it would be priced at $2000 to $2500.00. The tire condition and the over-all appearance may give you some "wiggle" room to negotiate. The last price I saw for a Woods mower by itself was $200.00, so look it over and make him an offer !!
Lots of luck.
Jim B.

I wouldn't give him any more than $1200. $200 for the mower, and a $1000 for the tractor, and that would be generous.

Can you send me some ad's from your local area where there are running $1000 B's? I will come buy them all.

Thanks!

Those mismatched, weather cracked tires may be holding air now, but they will soon let you down, and then you are looking at $700 to $800 worth of new tires and tubes, so you may as well deduct that much from the price right now.

Sorry can't help you on price as I overpaid for mine. However when I found a belly mower for mine and now use it for the yard I wouldn't trade it for anything It works great. As they say "cheap at twice the price"

Hi rossow, "B"'s here in MN are generally going for $1500 to $2000.00 in that condition with a woods belly mower. Around here woods mowers go for at least $800.00 and up new 59 woods mowers are very close to $2000.00. Rear tires can be had for about $550 /$600 new from Dakota Wholesale tire in Fargo, or sometimes guys sell used irrigator tires for $100.00 or less and they fit a "B" I have a "B" with a woods 59 belly mower and they are a great mowing machine.

Not much use for a tractor in N. Idaho if it doesn't have hydraulics. C's are pretty popular. I sold it locally. Not much use for a rowcrop tractor in the woods.
