Just finished replacing the springs bearings and bushings in the governor of my old 200 when i went to put it back on the tractor the carb linkage won't move when i take it back off it works fine. What am i doing wrong ?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Might need a little clarification.

Is it the arm on the carb end of the governor that doesn't move? Where is your speed control lever ( the throttle lever at the seat set?)

Is that carb-end arm of the governor connected to the carb and not moving? There is an adjustment on that rod between the arm and the throttle lever on the carb that's pretty simple and may be your problem.

Chances are when you put it back on the output shaft has enough end play that it got moved side ways enough to make it stuck on one of the two eats that keep it lined up. Put it back on and if it happens again just move the out=-put lever sideways enough to allow it to move. You also mite want to check the pin that keeps that shaft in position itcould be worn and not long enough to allow the shaft to turn. Sometimes you need to drive that pin in a little farther so it can guide the end play better.
