MD Farmall high fuel pressure

(quoted from post at 18:34:20 05/02/10) Second gauge but it could also be bad. Will try something else to check.

The gauges are often not that spiffy. Screw in any old oil pressure gauge that reads up to say 80 PSI. It should read in one of two ranges. Originally they ran 58 to 66, although they were later dropped to around 38. I have ran them both ways, it makes little difference. Blank or type A pumps set the pressure in the primary pump, type B (IH logo) set it in the top part of the plunger mechanism.

If too high, pull the appropriate needle and clean it up. They tend to stick from rust if left sitting for a long time with water present.
