valve lash for W9

The book said the valves should be set at .017 with the engine hot. Does anyone know what would be the setting with the engine cold. I have a very loose .017 now cold.

i did an m a while back, and i forget if was either rusty farmall or the tractor vet said to set em around .020 cold. then warm em up and recheck em, should be pretty close.
