I have a 1942 farmall A with a woods 59A mower. I have mowed with this setup for 25+ years with no trouble just a few worn belts. A few years ago I broke the pullys at bottom where the belt makes 90 degree turn between PTO and mower deck. I have never got it setup right again. It throws belts & breaks belts. I have just parked it. I would like to use it. Any tip's to get setup correctly?

Standing behind the tractor while facing it, the belt on the right side needs a 3/4 twist, and the belt on the left side needs a 1/2 twist. I went through the same thing with my 306 mounted under a Farmall H, and if the belt does not have the correct twist, it will NOT stay on. Period.

You need one with the grouve and the other is smoth so the belt doesent have to twist leaving the pto pulley they will work much better than the two grouved ones that were original.
