I see over on the Case Forum there's a possibility of a divestiture of CNH by Fiat.

Wouldn't it be GREAT if the company could be brought back to the US?

Yeah, but what would we do with it? Americans want too much money to work factory jobs to make the tractors competitively priced. Plus you've got all the government agencies breathing down your neck, insurance and lawyers to pay...

You'll either have to build junk, or price the tractors at about double what Deere is charging...

If you want to pick that up and open shop here a LOT of people would like to work for a reasonable rate. I have about 60% of my customer base with one or both wage earners on UE in 2009. They aren't standing on ceremony anymore...they just want work.

That story is from 2009. The sell off never happened and they still got Chrysler.
